Keeping the Calm

I see the wisdom
why we need calm
quiet and peace
in our lives.

Nothing is resolved
when my heart
is troubled
my mind confused.

I see positive outcome
when I am calm
I feel contentment
when I am at peace.

Everything has its pace
things can/may happen
at its right time
silently and effortlessly.

Tuwing Pasko

Tuwing malapit na ang pasko
may kasiyahang taglay ito
at may pag-asa sa puso ko.

Napapansin ko tuwing pasko
trahedya sa iba`t ibang dako
ang taglay nitong bawat pasko.

Subalit patuloy ang pasko
pagdiriwang`t pagreregalo
sa kapwa`t sa Diyos ng pasko.

Hasta que no pueda mas

Hasta que no pueda mas
abriré la puerta de resistencia
contando en mi coraje
y la buena voluntad.

Hasta que  no pueda mas
pensaré en las memorias
como fue una mujer valiente
y llena de felicidad.

Hasta que no pueda mas
actualizaré mis deseos profundos
que me den una vida plena
y no me venceré jamas.

Life is so short

Life is so short to live
in its fullness I rejoice.

Life is so short to waste
on matters that are unimportant.

What seems to block
my own vision be removed.

Let fantasies that imprison the truth
inside and outside be gone.

May I be glad to welcome
all that is new and present.

Gratitude to the World

My heart exults
for the kindness
generosity and goodness
from peoples of the world.

One world, one family
one world nation
sharing its goodness
to the Filipinos.

Filipinos rising up
showing its resiliency
at this hour of grief
and great devastation.

Everyone`s innate goodness
is bearing fruit
in this earth building
towards its healing.

O Mother Earth
our nurturing Universe
help us all
to take care of you.

I Rescue Me

Sometimes we think
that somebody shall come
to rescue us in our need
in a situation we don`t want.

Imagining someone will come
a woman/man mightier than us
with his/her power to lift us
at the end, I rescue myself. 

I rescue and lift up myself
with my own power
to get out/away from what I don`t need
what I don`t want, I rescue me.

Sa aking mga kababayan

Sa gitna ng labis na trahedya
na inabot ng ating bansa
marami kaming nakikiisa
nagpupugay at umaasa.

Sa kabila ay bagong umaga
sama-sama tayo sa pagbangon
tulong-tulong sa pagtatayo
ng bagong lahing Pilipino.

Pilipino na di napapagod
di susuko bagkus tumatapang
may ibayong lakas at sipag
tiyaga, pag-angat at pag-usad.

El reto de buen vivir

Cuando escucho la palabra
buen vivir
me hizo a pensar
si vivo lo mismo
¿que hago?

Pensando en  la cosmovision
como los pueblos indigenas
relacionan con la naturaleza
y viven en conjunto
con ellos.


Si soy creada
y parte de esta creacion
tratare de conservar
y proteger la naturaleza
para el nuestro buen vivir.

When my mind is full

When my mind is full
with different thoughts
I start calm down
to empty my brain.

What a signal
a body can perceive
when my mind is full
I need to stop.

Where is the place
to nourish my empty brain
I sit down with myself
and breathe profoundly.

Why there`s a need
to empty oneself
it is for renewal
to start anew.

God supplies enough for today

I awake in this new day

God has blessed it

enough for today.

God supplies what I need

just for today

enough for me to live on.

Once I made a Promise

Everyday changes
change in my thinking
change in my body.

Although change challenges
to stick or stick not
once I made a promise.

I need to be faithful
to guide my actions.

my thoughts flow
into the same direction.

Embarking into the Future

As I sail into the future
where nothing is familiar
I don't have any fear
it's a way of surrender.

I say yes to the future
I say yes to the present
I embark into the future
and I say yes.

Summertime

When summer begins to flower
and radiates the power
of every single creature
I am humbled and honored.

The sun comes out
radiantly, shining in colors
creating the rainbows of life
in its ordinariness.
 

I open my arms
receiving the energies
of the gods and goddesses
who have lived before me.

I live the summertime
of my humble existence
radiating the power
of a lived experience.

Keep on trusting

Human relationship is bound
to giving and taking
and to limitless trusting.



It is therefore imperative
that my heart is bent
to pain and giving up.

Loving is infinite
it makes our heart beat
and keep it alive.

Human relationships take us
to a spiritual dimension
that we are spiritual lovers.

Blind Spots

It makes me think
why people have more to say
about others
and less about themselves.

It makes me feel upset
when people keep questioning
and not focusing on
what's happening with them.

Each of us has blind spots
within ourselves
that only sincerity and acceptance
can keep us quiet.

The blind spots we don't want
we project into others
the blind spots we question about
we cannot accept.

Maintaining Deep Peace

I listen to me
touch my feelings
feel my present state.

I listen to me
heard my heart
its grumbles and anxieties.

I am myself
reconciled with my being
to maintain deep peace.

Unfinished Harmony

Life is an open-ended adventure
as I held this thought
a rebirth comes forth
a deep desire to newness.

New life as I venture
into the break of a new day
is a hope-filled grace
that invites me to life.


Life is an unfinished harmony
a thrill to see what's to come
my feet on the ground
to taste and relish the present.

The present brings me to future
a sense of filling up the space
while I wait and act
to what is here for me now.

Listening to my feeling

I held my hands
closely to my heart
hands pointed upwards
praying for you.

I wish you peace
happiness wheverever you are
may God keep you close
to his warm embrace.

May each day
be a blessing for you
may you be at peace
with yourself and with God.

Moving Forward

Letting go of the past
relationships that never work
friendships that were cut off.

Letting go of what I am holding on
enable me to move forward
turn to humanity's nature.

All ends in the right time
the right place is here
the right time is now.

Ordinary Time

Ordinary times open up to
the season of waiting
and anticipating
what comes next.



Beyond ordinary times
are special moments
but they are the same time
classified and divided.

Ordinary time, I welcome you
when I embrace you fully
as you come

clear blue sky
clears my mind.

Fatigue and worries
they banished away
what a gift
to behold today.

where it will lead me.

Deep peace in my heart
as I entrust to you
wherever it is

the fruit of a long struggle
to find the heart

Experiencing a new freedom

I feel contentment

who I am

is what I dreamed about.

I feel happy 

what I have

is what I worked for.

I feel satisfaction

where I am now

is where I directed myself.

Bakit ba hindi
baguhin ang pagiisip
pwede namang gawin
para iba ang damdamin.



Subukan natin
sa dumarating na hamon
salamat sa aking labi
sungay ay ngiti.

God's Presence

May I feel your gentle presence

soothing and empowering my spirit

to dwell more in the goodness 

of a peaceful abiding direction.

May I touch your gentle presence

that come in many wonderful ways

more often subtle and ordinary

that bends my obstinate will.

May I be your presence

in savoring the beauty and loveliness

around me, beneath me, inside me

to always abide in your presence.

El corazón que ama y entiende

Tengo muchos dones dentro de mí

que necesito reconocer y disfrutar

para compartir a la gente

y darme la fuerza de vivir.

La vida es para vivir

como una flor del jardín

necesito nutrirla con el agua,

el sol, el aire y la tierra.

El horizonte de la vida

aunque es enorme y cruzamos 

en algunas partes de la jornada

el corazón ama y entiende sin limite.

Withdrawal

Withdrawal from people

around you

may be a sign of recuperating

your own identity and integrity.

It is not a negative fact

rather it is what you needed

to get healed

and reconciled within.

Hanggang Kailan?

Isang pagtatanong sa 'king sarili
hanggang kailan pa kaya
mapapasaakin ikaw
na isang katauhang walang kubli?

Hanggang kailan pa ang katapatan
ang paghahangad na  tagos
sa puso, tulad ng agos
ng 'sang ilog na may linaw na angkin?



Walang dapat na ipagpapabukas
ang ngayon ang kasagutan
sa katanungan na minsan
ang pag-angkin at pagyakap  s'yang wakas.

To be mindful

To be mindful of my body
when it moves and breathes.

To be mindful of my mind
where thoughts come and go.

To be mindful of my vision
what it sees now and beyond.

To be mindful of the present
what is here and now.

To be mindful of the wisdom
what I learned and discovered.

To be mindful of my connectedness
to people and events in life.

To be mindful of God
who created me and my final destiny.

Higher Power leading us

I keep my belief
and hold on to that
the Divine Power
leading and guiding me.


I try to keep believing
in the goodness
that I have in me
to keep me through.

I take care of me

It's an acknowledgment
that I do need
to take care of me
as I take care of others.

I can't be discounting
I have my needs
to attend to
as I take care of others.



I do love myself
as I love others
taking care of me
as I take care of others.

Changing Gears

Fixations and obsessions
have taught me
to change my attitudes
and change my gears.

The directions I take
is never fixed
and never determined
it happens, it comes.

Changing my gears
toward a path
of being renewed
by opening myself.



On the horizon waits
dancing with the flow
acceptance of what comes
with a grand embrace.

Springtime

I feel the budding forth
of a new daybreak
when grasses and plants
come out with life.

The glorious morning sun
rises up to shine
birthing to new leaves
flowers come up brightly.

The beginning... it's hope
comes anew, recreating
rejoicing with varied colors
gently rejuvenates my spirit.

Live Life Fully

It's a real challenge
to have the sense
and understanding
of how it is...

Live life fully
be present to it
feel it, love it
breathe it, take it.

See what it means
feel its meaning
touch it, drink it
and be satisfied.

Live life fully
without regrets
to its deepest
and utmost bounds.

Rising Anew

Symbol of life and growth
rising anew in my dream
as I capture the moment
my new eyes got opened.

Green new sprouts I pick
from the vine crawling upward
One by one I harvest
gather them in my hand.



I walked and danced away
the rythmn of the breeze
passed the brown wet field
surrounded by a green scenery.

To live is to die

All the dying I need to do
at times - when it is needed to be done
that I know in my heart
gives birth to something in me and in this world.

I knew that dying is not that easy
it breaks my heart and crumples my being
but dying is a process and
living is the outcome of it.


When dying takes all my strength
my belief and all that I hold
the emptiness empties and unravels
all that I am undergoing.

Living is dying and dying is for living
a call to a deeper transformation
birthing of a new person
a promise to a new beginning.

A gift of hope

Hope's emerging as I watched
the papal balcony opened
to the world waiting for Jesus' like-man
he came, a humble Jesuit named Francis.



A gift of hope to me and to us
to the poor, the lame, the world wounded
by inhumanity, sin and lovelessness
our prayer shall sustain the new pope.

Let the world unite and pray together
let all men and women, children and old
faiths unite and be one
under the banner of God who is love.

kneel down in humility.

take me I am yours.

When all that I need is to be where I am
then I say yes
embrace the nothingness and fullness
of being present.

When all that I need is to be present

live the present moment with hesitancy
of being open.



When all that I need is to be open

receive the surprises of the day
of being who I am.

When all that I need is to be who I am
then I say yes
accept my vulnerabilities and strengths
of being human.

Winter time

When leaves are gone at winter time
then I begin to see the expanse of the space
beyond my naked eyes
penetrating the barriers of time.

When trees begin to die at winter time
the roots begin to expand
dig deep beyond the surface
and into its solid ground.

When snow covers the earth at winter time
it leaves a moist to nurture itself
so that when the sun comes out
the earth wont be a parched dry land.

Oh, I befriended the winter time of my life
where I see with my naked eyes
the depth and the width of God's love
penetrating my whole being.

Gratitude to my God

To thee is a heart full of thanks
your ways are surely not my ways
your revelation is just great
my words are not enough to capture
the wonders you have done
and is doing in my life.

I am your child dear God
you who know every beat of my heart
you who carefully guide me
the journey I have undertaken
and will be undertaking
is no doubt from you.

Here I am Lord, your faithful follower
I carry you deeply in my being
your love is eternal and alive
don't leave me alone
I trust you forever.

Where my heart is...

I feel for you

I long to stay with you
possess you as treasure.

Lead me close to thee
Feeling the feeling
stay close by me
where my heart is.

For I hold you close
to thee is peace
the calmness
of my being.

Savoring the time

When time comes slowly
stillness dwells within our spirit
we  drift away to eternity.

Go with the wisdom of the time
the body clock sets the time
of our waking and sleeping.

Time gets right
at every moment that happens
No looking back.

And time gets ripe
when it is the right time
to move on.
