IGUANA, ATBP.

Iguana
Sa biglang pagsulpot ng iyong ulo
At sabay hatak sa katawan
Isang tili ng pagkagulat
Sapat na para ikaw´y tumakbo.

Usa
Mahinhin at mapupungay na mata
Malalim na pakikipag-ugnayan
Marahan na kilos
Maamo subalit mailap rin.

 The Bees & Me
Ibon
Malaya ang iyong paglipad
Habang umaawit at umiindak
Sa damyo ng bawat hangin
Kalayaan at kaligayahan ay hatid.

Paru-paro
Iba`t-ibang kulay
May dalang balita
galak at lumbay
Sa kanyang pagbisita.

SAYING GOODBYES

Each season of life,
spring, summer, winter and fall
represents and offers
beginnings and endings.

See full size image
Welcome to the crisp mornings
with its twittering birds
singing praises and
wishing one`s well-being.

Seeds beginning
Flowers thanking
Fruit filling
Plant dying.

Sun setting
towards the night
fading light
glittering stars.

Saying goodbyes to familiarities
and routines of life
welcoming new sights
starting anew.

CROSS ROADS

Have you ever been on a crossroad of life?
When questions remain as questions
and unanswered but draggingly one needs to move on.

I have come across different crossroads in life.
at different periods in time
that pose a difficult challenge to continue on.

Be it on the right or left section of the road
we still reach the end of life`s destination
at which one could say... I have reached my goal.

The "writing on the wall" could still remain perplexed
as change can happen
and it can occur at any given time.

Crossing the roads need a reflection
a pause - to relish, look and see around
breathe in and breathe out the energy giving.

Life giving forces that pulls us out
from death onto life,
from our sorrows into joys.

SPRING TIME

PanamaUH-1NflightAug81002.jpg Howard AFB, Panama Canal Zone, Panama SA image by motor3mike

As I throd the walk path at Howard every day,
awareness of the self comes forth
like a bud of flower showing its beauty.

It is not easy, but I try to
finishing two, three, four rounds
are but accomplishments.

Witness to silent and deep breath
grass on the grounds with its morning dew
green vast of land with lush vegetation.

Morning sun, trucks and cars passing by
co-walkers, co-journeyers of that 2.5 kilometers long walk path.
animating me to do my 6.2 mile walk everyday.,

Loud prayers and silent prayers of the heart
said loudly and screaming at times
to the God who resides in my heart.

Was freeing, was moving, was consoling
at times so despairing, tiresome and frustrating.
How will I sustain praying while walking?

I did, I can do.  Praying is walking.
Walking is praying.
From there comes prayer`s answer.

Walking is a journey to self.
A journey of a soul reaching out to the true self.
True self that can hurt but liberate.

Happiness lies on the truth.
Truth brings freedom.
Freedom is walking the truth.

ONDOY in Manila

POEMS ARE SONGS OF THE HEART AND SOUL.

                        Freaks of Nature Pictures
What a deluge Ondoy had for the Filipinos.
I was struck with sadness, anxiety and helplessness.
My ears and eyes were fixed on the videos, links, and feeds
in the process, discovered to pop out radio DZBB of gmanews.tv.
To fill up the space from mission to home.

Prayers . . . endless prayers and hopes as armor
Good bayanihan spirit moved heaven and earth.
Clearing the debris, mud, garbage and burying the dead.
Going back to normalcy
Is a struggle witnessed by the world.

I had water and floods appeared in my dream.
Talked to one señora about an experience of one heavy rain
and denuded that part of Quezon City.
Mentioned to her that the place I was born as told by my mother
If ever flooded, Manila will be submerged in water.

A week later, Ondoy´s tragedy happened in Manila.
Left me a void and a reflection on suffering.
Why can conversations around pouring rain
and why a dream of water and flood
will come true after 40 years?  What a timing?

Many experiences to learn from Ondoy,
but more challenges for us as a nation and as one world.
To move fast in order to survive catastrophes.
Make initiatives to heal the earth.
And for us men and women - to unite to save our planet.

Embraced as One

When in a long lock down,  what is - becomes the  pattern  of a normal living. The space of time is long and open yet at the end of the day ...
