Today

On my 49th birthday
I wish myself a happy day
happy years of vibrant living
years that will be given me.

I wish to be alive
and know the joy of living
when living is meant just for today
then my gratitude overflows.


My heart is filled with gladness
as family and friends surround me
their love and loving thoughtfulness
meant so much to live for.

Gratitude to the great Creator
who gave me right to live
and be in the right moment
the right time to exist.

LA VIDA ES UN CÍRCULO

Me acuerdo cuando era chica

desarrollé este tema

en la materia de "literatura".

Ya que pasó varias décadas

viviendo la vida

la vida es un círculo.

Aprendamos algo de la vida

crezcamos poco y pasamos

el mismo circulo.

La vida es un círculo

de pasiones y emociones

del aprendizaje y la moraleja.

LOOKING THROUGH THE EYES

One lazy afternoon
I walked down the road
to enjoy the scenery
and breathe fresh air.

I fixed my eyes
on my right side
I saw a tree
that never noticed before.

I was full of surprise
how can I miss
not seeing this tree
full grown and green.

Right before my face
I realized, sometimes
I am seeing
but not seeing through.

Looking but not beyond
what my eyes can see.
Looking through
reveals the true form.

THE HEART OF A DREAM

I believe in a dream
a dream that the outer energy has for one
One that connects human beings
to their dream of the heart.

The heart of a dream is not a dream
it is a reality that haunts a dreamer
and stops the yearnings
till it rests in the dream.

BRIDGING DREAM AND REALITY

Dream is out there
to catch
and hold closely into my heart.

Reality is what it is    
and dream is what I hope
and want to be.

Bridging my dream to become a reality
I step forward
to fulfil my dream.

PATIENCE

Patience - a virtue that pays off
till the last thread of breath
dissipates.

Walking moderately
as my heel begins to swell
taught me a lesson.

Patience lets you be
at par with your pace
enjoying not doing.

Seeing the swaying of the breeze
hearing the sound and noise
tasting the beauty.

No hurry, no structure
just being there
and be present.

ELEKSYON NA NAMAN

Minsan nakakapunding isipin
Totoo, eleksyon na naman
Mayroon kayang pagbabago
Sino ang posibleng mananalo?

Politikang pinoy ´ting gagalawan
Magulo, marumi, at malabo
Pangako, pag-asa ewan natin
Subukan ulit at para matuto.

Paano gagawin ng pobreng pinoy
Awa ng politikerong kampanya
Daya at utang na loob ang kalaban
Hindi ba puwedeng maging malaya?

Karapatan na para sa iyo lamang
Bakit di malayang angkinin?
Upang ang bawat totoong boto natin
maging bunga ng kalayaan.

LA FELICIDAD

Yo había visto y experimento

en diferentes ocasiones

en donde las personas

me muestran a mi la felicidad.

La felicidad es un don y disposición

de tal momento.

No es un estado permanente

que podemos experimentar.

La vida es así

yo como una persona humana

me gustaría buscar la felicidad 

en todos los momentos.

Y porque el sufrimiento 

tiene que estar como una sombra

que quita la felicidad

en un rato?

El suicidio de una niña 

la falta de sonrisa en las caras

de los muchachos

me dieron mucha tristeza.

¿La felicidad, donde estas,

donde estarás?

No esta afuera sino dentro de nosotros.
Hay que descubrirla.

EN MI JARDÍN

Sembré diferentes plantas en mi jardín
para tener alimento y hacer un cambio

en mi estilo de vida.

Me divertí de ver como las plantas crecen

con su nueva hoja y rama

me dio una sonrisa muy feliz.

Soy contenta de estar en mi jardín

trabajando, cuidando y quitando la mala hierba

sudando para una labor fructífera.

Es una satisfacción de comer la fruta de la tierra

muy dulcera y muy riquísima

como el sudor de un trabajo real.

TE BUSCARÉ

Lo siento en mi corazón

Te veo en mis ojos
Lo escucho en mis orejas.

Te buscaré mi Dios, querido Señor.

En el fondo de mi ser

Yo lo tengo.

Hazme una persona receptiva

de conocer a donde me guíes

como las ovejas lléveme a donde quieras.

Te buscaré siempre

por tu bondad y misericordia

me hiciste una persona tan bendecida.
