Peace amidst disaster

Recalling a dream I dreamed of 

a day before the disaster in Japan

stunned me another time

why could the scene of tsunami

would appear in my dream

I was in the scene

then a sudden appearance

of water, a big tsunami was behind me

I woke up, prayed

begun to remember Japan.

I woke up, unusual hour

2:00 o´clock in the morning

the news about earthquake

and tsunami appeared in the news

I´m stunned, no deaths reported yet.

It was unbelievable how disaster

of this kind, huge as it is

have claimed the lives of people

living beings and material things

everything on its path--- destroyed.

No word to complete the puzzle

the dream is a message

peace within me, around me

in the midst of disaster

everything turns out for good.

Mabiyayang buhay

Aanhin ko ang mga bagay bagay

na di nagbibigay ng malayang buhay

at kahulugan sa aking paglalakbay.

Mga bagay bagay na ´king nasusumpungan

inaabot at pilit pinagyayaman

samantalang ako ay nilalamon.

Hawak hawak ng aking kamay

mga bagay bagay na nagbibigay buhay

kaloob na yaman at iba´t ibang kulay.

Palipat lipat at palipad lipad

tadhana ng buhay dala dala´y palad

ng buhay biyaya at walang katulad.

Mind absorbed

Have you got a sense 

being lost in a crowd

as your mind travels

as far as it could.

Have you been lost

as your mind absorbs

different plane and perhaps

it ables to see more.

As this state occurs

the sense of stability 

comes to a fore

to find our roots.

Wishing Well

In the fount of gladness

I toss all my pains and worries

to become a living source

of goodness and wellness for others.

I wish in this flowing water

that fills up the vacuum in me

cleansing, energizing and renewing

to become a new life for others.

Constant Protection thru "bajareque"

I just woke up and opened my eyes
I see the outpouring of a very thin layer of rain
"bajareque" it was called in this part of the world.


It is the constant protection of the God
who out there does not need to hear me beg for it
his instant way of being there for me is undescribable.

What is He, I don´t care, I know
this somebody out there assured me and I trust him or her.
because I knew and felt this very presence many times.

SUSHI

The sense of satisfaction
in what we take and eat
tickles our right brain
dictates our gustatory glands
to create a yearning.



Sushi a japanese dish
definitely creates an interest
not only a desire to eat
but to learn about its art
presentation, balance and health.

Happiness is created
when one´s creation
is shared in a meal
together we appreciate culture
of people who partake our joys.

WHAT GIVES ME LIFE?

The company of people who keeps me part of their existence.
Friends whose value I share and whose joy becomes my joy.

The gratitude of people who say thank you
and appreciate the little acts of kindness I do.

The bare presence of birds, butterflies, plants
and all the living beings is a life itself to me.

What gives me life is the life itself I have
disposing it accordingly, gently and lovingly.

LA MULTITUD

Una multitud de la gente
me saludó con la sonrisa
una multitud de pájaros
me cantó su melodía
y bailaba en la armonía.

Una multitud de flores
en diferentes colores
las olas del mar
como una canción de cuna
me da la alegría y libertad.

Todos están en una multitud
bendicen a los multitudes
de gente que viven
los animales que viven
a los muertos que viven

UN SUEÑO MUNDANO

Es una broma de verdad
a descubrir una gran cosa
en un sueño mundano.

Como las cosas revelan
en un momento de fantasía
son los que valoro más.

Me imagino como el Señor
escribe recto su propósito
en la linea torcida.

CAMINATA DE CADA DÍA

La vida es una etapa
en cada momento es un paso
una caminata
en donde una llega
con dirección o ninguna.

En la caminata de cada día
podemos descansar
en cualquier momento
permite que la brisa nos empuja
y siente su temperatura.

La vida es una caminata
los pasos que hicimos
tienen sus retos y propósitos
no importa como lleguemos
ni el tiempo que nos tomó.

Caminando... caminando
hasta que podamos.
